Eleeza Palmer: Employee Spotlight
Meet the animation ninja, Eleeza Palmer, our very own Motion Designer.
In a year that has been filled with disheartening news, we have a lot to be grateful for.
Even as so many of our plans, events and celebrations were canceled, we celebrate anyway. We celebrate every client, partner, colleague and friend who has shared the journey of 2020 with us. What better time than the holidays to celebrate, support and give back to our local community?
One of the ways we’ve shared inspiration and joy with our employees during the holidays is through our support of Volunteers of America and its annual Holiday Gift Drive. A few years ago, Kathy Hagan was volunteering with her daughters at a VOA Holiday Gift Drive event in Denver. Long lines of children were eager to see Santa and receive hot chocolate and a donated gift – quite possibly the only gift they would receive that holiday season.
As the day went by, Kathy was told by a VOA volunteer that the gifts ran out and she would have to turn away the many kids still standing in line. Kathy quickly helped to supply more gifts for that year, but she also knew her family at Karsh Hagan would want to make sure they wouldn’t run out of toys again.
So, last year Karsh Hagan organized a gift drive at the agency to ensure we could supply Volunteers of America with an abundance of toys and gifts for children aged 0-18. We’ve never seen our staff more engaged for an important cause. Employees had incredible fun shopping and selecting special gifts that would light up the eyes and hearts of Colorado kids. All in all, we collected and wrapped over 200 gifts!
While things are different in 2020 and we can’t do a toy drive or have a festive wrapping party, we can still share in the joy of community giving.
This year we have donated to three special causes in the name of our clients headquartered in Colorado, Nebraska and Maine. We hand-picked these organizations because of the good work they do for children and families in the communities they serve.
We are all looking forward to the day when we can safely come together and fully embrace the many experiences we have been so desperately missing this year – family gatherings, celebrations, concerts, sporting events, traveling and more. Until then, we hope that you share with us the joy of giving back, along with a sense of purpose and optimism in the future.
Here’s to 2021 and brighter days ahead!
