The Account Supervisor position requires the ability to manage and build client relationships, act as the strategic brand lead for the account, manage the integrated agency team and lead the agency’s day-to-day relationship with key client contacts and agency partners.

  • Earn and maintain client confidence and respect as a trusted advisor by bringing value to their business through a strong commitment to success, consistent performance and the ability to develop a wide range of ideas and solutions 
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of, and be conversant in, each client’s business – their key issues, competitive situation, industry trends and opportunities 
  • Demonstrate confidence and authority as the day-to-day voice of the agency team 
  • Effectively balance the dual expectations of your clients and the agency 
  • Assist the Account Director or President with the development of an annual Client Development Plans, Scopes of Work and Annual Contracts, Forecasts 
 

Essential Duties

  • Build a strong relationship with clients rooted in trust, honesty, strategic prowess, thoughtful problem-solving and ability to integrate creative and media ideas. 
  • Lead the agency and client teams by inspiring positive outcomes through an understanding of client goals, measurement and opportunities 
  • Leverage past campaign performance data and industry knowledge to push creative ideas forward 
  • Collaborate with integrated agency team to develop creative that is strategically in line with creative briefs 
  • Collaborate with an intricate web of agency partners to elevate what’s possible for the client 
  • Prepare accurate and timely internal communication: creative briefs, job starts, change orders, media plan requests, timelines and estimates 
  • Supervise AC or AM on the client account including ongoing coaching and goal setting 
  • Manage accounts independently or with minimal oversight 
  • Prepare accurate and timely external communication: points-of-view conference reports, recaps, timelines, estimates and weekly status reports 
  • Review weekly status reports before distribution 
  • Review, approve, present and gain approval of project estimates 
  • Develop and monitor project estimate vs. actual time and cost accruals to eliminate or minimize write-off’s 
  • Review monthly client billing for accuracy and compliance with client standards 


Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years of previous agency experience preferred
  • Previous AC or AM experience
  • Bachelor’s in related field

  • Make decisions that reflect “layers” of thought – balancing enthusiasm, insight, caution, discretion 
  • Identify key elements of an issue, problem or data set and be able to highlight general opportunities and implications 
  • Clearly establish objectives and priorities for client initiatives 
  • Help develop, articulate, and adhere to, agreed upon strategies 
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop a range of alternatives for client and agency decision-making 
  • Develop and articulate initial points-of-view relative to strategic, creative and media alternatives 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple people 
  • Ability to manage up and keep senior management engaged as appropriate 
  • Organized and detail oriented 
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently with little assistance 
  • Ability to problem solve and get assistance as needed 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment 
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Keynote and other agency related software
